A Letter in the Mail

I just got summoned to jury duty. I hope I don't get picked. Maybe I'll take James with me.

Tara, I think that if you have babies and are the only one who takes care of them, you can opt out for being a mom, I can't remember exactly what the wording is, but if you don't want to do jury duty, you can claim whatever it is that says you need to take care of your kids instead. I wish you lived next door!

I just had jury duty on the 13th. I am sad to admit that I did not want to go. I was called into the courtroom as a potential juror but didn't end up having to serve. It was an interesting experience, but I wish the system ran as it was intented to run. In Oregon, having children to take care of is not a valid excuse. Good luck.

Good luck getting out of jury duty. Ugh!
That looks so fun to have woods in your back yard! I look forward to some breathing space out back again someday!

Hmmmm! Jury duty. Is that for the case of a paint truck running into a running looker pleasure seeker?

So I didn't know it but Chad had jury duty yesterday and he loved it. Maybe he's a little different but he'd gladly do it again. He got picked to be on the jury, and then they took them to lunch and then they started the trial but then they ended up having a mistrial so he got done early and was disappointed. Funny huh?

I got Jury Duty the other day too. I have to go sometime in July and I am kind of excited about it. (yes, I am such a dork!)
