Memorial Day

It's like we are one big, crazy, fun family.
And not everyone came.
My goal this summer is to get a picture with our whole MA family in it.
I'm up for the challenge.
But Memorial Day was wonderfully memorable!

There was the pool building and damn break,
the family football game,
the frigid plunge,
and the sun kissed skin.

We almost tried one huge pyramid with everyone.

And to end the day, a BBQ with more of our MA family.
This lady could give Martha Stewart a run for her money.
Maybe it is because they are both from Maine.
We even had a drink that was layered
red (cranberry juice),
white (7UP),
blue (Gatorade).

Amazing!

Swiss Family Robinson

This is the other construction going on in our yard.

Parting Shots

 Gone a fishin'.

 Go Cougars!

A New Yard

The patio we put in tore up our yard.
It was a massive mud pit.
I think I vacummed 87547535434 times a day.
Little feet track in a lot of mud.

But in one day, our yard went from brown, to lush, soft, silky green.
It wouldn't have happened without the help of so many friends.
I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude for our friends.
They have become our family.
They have made our life so rich and lovely.

I just think our yard is splendid.
And the flocks and lilac trees are at their prime.
Breathtaking and glorious!

I Felt So Loved

Instead of running Ragnar this year,
I got to sleep in my cloud of a bed and snuggle my baby.
But I really missed my weekend with my Ragnar girls!

But they tagged my car.
I was so surprised and felt so loved!

And it is still on.
People must think I am so pompous!

Kate

"If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle."
-Vincent van Gogh
