My First Postpartum Run

I went running this morning for the first time since January. It felt so good to put the running shoes back on and go. So far there have been no aches and pains from the run. I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning's date with the road, my shoes, and my thoughts....so invigorating!

The Finer Things in Life

In the Hahn Family news this week....

We enjoyed a fun visit with Grandma Pickett

Who taught Daniel about the fine art of eating ice cream cones

And Daniel taught her all about trucks
(James started to fuss a little and Daniel ran into help him by sharing his trucks)

James got a new belly button

We played and visited a lot of fun places and got all tummy tuckered out

Our new baby carrier came which accommodates all sizes of children

We sold our house (well, that was actually last week, but I forgot to mention it).

Daniel Update

Daniel is doing great and enjoying the warm spring weather. We've had lots of water encounters and have been unprepared for most of them. Oh well, we figure dirt and water on kids clothes is part of the cost for the child's tuition for life. Thank goodness for washing machines and stain removers. Anyways, here are some cute pictures from the last couple of days.

Waiting for lunch. Our table was conveniently located near a fountain.

All Systems Go

James will be one week old tomorrow. It has been such a wonderful week despite all the bodily adjustments for both of us. We are both doing well. The birth of a new baby helps me remember how grateful I am to be alive! What a wonderful blessing it is to have such a healthy body and to experience this world.

Sleeping

Coming into the world at 9lbs 12oz, 21 inches long, and still sleeping!

Daniel has been such a great big brother. He is always concerned about "the baby". He really likes to hold James. He has shared his trucks with James already. Watching a two year old boy share his trucks with his little brother is a true sign of brotherly love. I'm so grateful I have two boys. Everyone needs good friends in this world and I'm glad they will have each other to experience life with. I was thinking about the beauty of the relationship between the Smith brothers (Hyrum and Joseph). What a blessing it is to have a brother.

We've had some warm days...hooray!
The pool water did start out clean.

Christian has been my guardian angel. I don't know a better way to express it.
