The Summer House

Can you guess where we are standing?
I'll give you a hint...
It is usually covered in 2 feet of snow.

Instead of worrying about sun burnt knees as we ride on these,
we usually bury our faces in our coats and endure the ride.

We usually come down on two skis and not slides.

Instead of smore's for a mid afternoon treat,
we are sipping hot cocoa.

 Did you guess Park City?

It was just lovely.
The hikes, the swimming, the company...the whole thing.

These Make Me Laugh

4th of July

You are laying eyes on a family of Patriots.
I bet every kid in this group can recite the Preamble to the Constitution.
The 4th of July is better when you spend it with Champions of Liberty.

A German (the only un-American thing) breakfast after a dip in the pool.
Followed by...

 this,

 and this,

 and this,

 and this.

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's to pursue some more

 life,

 liberty,

 and happiness.

I love America.

Curious Cabub

Cabub is our skinniest baby.
I know "skinny" isn't how you would necessarily describe him,
but for a Hahn, he is skinny.
He still has two knees on each leg.
But the kid cannot get enough of this world.
He's too busy to sit and savor his milk.
He's got places to go, things to hit or bounce or manhandle, and taste.
Christian described him as
"Anna on steroids."

Why does that frighten me?

Please Pass My Pina Colada

Music Man

Daniel has been taking a music class since January.
They had their end of year recital last week.
Watching him play, and excel in music has amazed me.
How did I get so lucky to be Daniel's mom?
