An Announcement

Oh How Time Changes

For our honeymoon, we had reserved an economy car in San Diego. When we went to pick up our rental car, the agent informed us they were out of economy cars and they would give us a free upgrade...they would give us a minivan.

Christian looked the agent in the eyes and quite directly said

"That is not an upgrade for me."

So, we got a double free upgrade...we got an SUV.

Well, fast forward a couple of years and the same thing happened to us while we were vacationing in Utah. Except this time we already had one child. We were so excited to get the minivan.

Fast forward a couple more years. We now have two kids and one on the way. We OWN a minivan. And we are proud of it. We wrote out a big 'ol fat check and drove away in a sweet ride.

There she is.
I think a minivan is definitely of the female gender.
Besides, I need all the help I can get to even out the gender ratio in this family...even if I have to buy one.

We had a deal going with our friend. He told us to get the lowest quote we could on the car and then he would use his little car bargaining method to negotiate the price even lower. The deal was if he saved us any money, we would have to pay him 10% of the savings. Well his method worked wonders and we had to write out another check to him.

So blog, I am introducing you to the newest member of our family. Wala.

We're Back

Park City '09

Alas, all good things come to an end. But in this case, they will happen again next Christmas time. We were too busy playing to do a good job documenting this year's ski excursion.

The ride to Park City was a little crowded, but memorable.
Not an inch to spare.

This was taken "before" the accident.
My Dad broke his rib down the double black on our first day.
He still skied every day but one day that week.
Fanatical.
Aren't those little skis the darnd'st cutest thing?

Nothing like soaking in the hot tub after a day on the slopes.
