An Apple A Day
Our friends had a BUMPER apple crop this year.
We were the lucky beneficiaries of the crop.
Our kitchen turned into an apple processing machine.
We now have canned
applesauce and pie filling.
We also have
dried apples and fruit leather,
GALORE!
Not to mention all the fresh crisp apples we ate.
But 9823897624387lbs of apples didn't prove to be enough.
So, we went apple picking again and
again and
again!
Did you know that planting a seed from a variety of apple does not guarantee your tree will grow that specific variety? Grafting is the only way to ensure your variety grows.
Did you know there are over 2000 varieties of apples?
My favorite...honeycrisp!

Family Photos 2015
This was a painless family photo year.
And this picture takes home the trophy!
The Katester loves that thumb!
How did I get so lucky?
I am in love with this family life!

A Trumpet and a Violin
Sometimes they sleep with their instruments right next to them.
And then, just when Christian and I think they are asleep,
we hear some squeaky bowing or some horn blasts.
And then we smile.
