Back To School 2015

 This year, our theme is
"Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things"
(D&C 59:7)

 We feasted from our garden:
Sweet corn tamales and salsa
Beet salad
Cabbage southwest salad
Peach tart with fresh vanilla ice cream.

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."
-William Butler Yeats

I have so much to be thankful for!

Summer's Bounty

There is nothing more delicious than a juicy, sweet, warm peach, right off the tree.
Nothing!

The tree branches were so loaded down with juicy, sweet, warm peaches.
We sampled some right down to the pit.

And then we licked the pit clean.

 I love eating nature's bounty,

 I love dirty, sweaty kids.

The Mighty Atlantic

It's Great to be a Kid

 Thanks to Christian,
they can all do a back flip.

Penny Dive

On the last pool day, we threw in

34098234095872345

pennies.
That is only a tiny exaggeration.
We really threw in something like

8438763509

pennies.

And after the kids collected the pennies, they bought

8763458762345

skittles, or gummy bears, or marshmallows, or bouncy balls, or bubbles, or...you get the idea.

On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!

 3 minivans
1 truck
4 moms
19 kids
3 trailers
17 bikes

Phew, I'm tired just writing that all down.

This was Kate's bike riding debut.
She didn't care for the trailer,
but fell right asleep once I strapped her on.

I love bike riding with my kids.
