A Midday Snack

James figured out the "shark in a school of fish"
bubble hunting technique

was unfruitful.

You have to go after "the one".
He has his eye on the prize now.
Watch out bubble.

Two Weeks Old

Thanks to Ellen for the first good photos of Anna.

Don't these make you want to cuddle with her and smother her in kisses?

Half a Decade

Dear Daniel,

I think your eyes sparkle with life. You've helped me rediscover the sparkle of life. I remember when you first felt the wind. It took your breath away, but then, you smiled. Now you use the wind to fly kites.

On a cold morning about five years ago, I wrapped you up in a warm blanket. You fell asleep with the sunlight warming you through the window. Now you lay on pavement warmed by the sun after swimming in the cool pool and the sunlight makes your curls shine.

Now you are five. Sometimes I wish I could stop time, but then I think of all the other adventures you will take me on and the beauties of life you will teach me and I want to live forever with your enthusiasm.

Thanks for making me a mom. Thanks for your patience as I learn to be a mom. I love you little bug. I hope all your wishes and dreams come true. Happy Birthday!

Donuts, Fenway, and Grandparents

Last weekend we had several treats. It all started when Grandma and Grandpa waltzed into town. You would think I would have taken a photo with them. But don't worry, I captured some of the other treats we enjoyed...starting with...

and then...

and still later...

Dinner and Ice Cream.

But the best treat was the sparkle they brought with them and the memories they left.

Still Waiting...

...for our late bloomer.

Room and board has now accrued to 10 days past due.

How Many Balloons Does It Take....

....To Fill a Toyota Matrix?

I don't really know....

....we ran out of hot air at 70 and there was still room for more.

But it was fun trying to surprise the Daddy-O at work...

....which is easier said than done.
